GT RTS team? 1994

Yeah , they make a hell of a mess , no rhyme or reason for them melting too

Looks good with them on , but I always feel a GT should have RS forks

I do have a Rockshox Mag 21, but I ran that back in the days and was curious how the competition of the day worked out. Back then, I couldn't afford multiple forks, but today it's no problem. Also because 2nd hand value is way lower.

The Mag 21 has a threaded steerer, so that doesn't work out with the ahead stem I'm using. And sourcing a new crown with ahead steerer has proven difficult.

Here's a shot with the Mag 21's on:

My shock is still not here, so I put some NOS Onza H.O. brakes on the RTS. It brakes like cr#p, but hey, that's how they rolled back then :) I have a longer steerer for my mag21's on the way, so maybe I'll switch the forks someday. OTOH, I really like this Pace fork,

Finally put the Mag's on the GT for a more period correct look. Steerer tube is way too long though.

Should I put the shock boots back on? It looks kinda fragile like this :)

That is stunning :D its amazing how some retro bikes still manage to look so right even by modern standards .
Great job, paul.

personally, i like the silver with black bits. lovely gt btw but a shame about the dent on the top tube. that would really bug me if it were mine :?
