I found this locally and was too cheap to not buy. The parts were a mix of crap and mildly desent. Ignore the yellow...someone has painted forks and coil badly and probably the same person has damaged the pivot bushes. I'm thinking Diamondback? It appears we'll made but could just be a bso? I'm not even sure what the forks are? Can anyone kindly shed any light? Cheers!

Only just found this thread, frame's out for delivery today :) Those forks BTW look like RST, probably like a 261/281 or similar. What on earth were they doing for a front brake though, no IS mount & looks like the canti studs been out a while!

Ironically, one of the fork options I'm considering is a bright yellow RST also!

There were v brakes fitted but went in the bin! The forks also got recycled 🤣

Only place worth putting them IMO if they were 261's lol

Frame just arrived & have loosely reassembled and sat it in the work room, it is indeed VERY shiny, didn't come across as well in the pics I don't think. Even the missus (who told me don't bother it looks awful originally!) likes it now. Not sure what fork to jam in it now, I've a set of white threaded Indy on route that might go well, the RST might be a bit bright for the build or I've got the remains of some Z1 BAM that I might polish up to match.

Gotta go out now but will update as & when, provided the reflections don't blind me! Thanks again, Dan

A beautiful job you have done too, just looked closer at those pics above and it seems it was more a brushed finish when it came to you. This knowledge makes it even more important that I keep it nice & give it a decent shot at a fitting build.
