Fast /sports/ modified / weekend car thread

I've had a mk2 fiesta 1.4s, with a 1.6 cvh conversion, wasn't very quick top speed wise, but because of the way it was geared could get there quite quick and rev to 10,000 rpm, (code name 1.4 stupid) also had a mk 3.5 fiesta si with a 2litre zetec turbo (named 16v stupid idiot) 😀 also got to drive a mk1 escort Mexico with a rally prepared 3.5 rover v8

Yep they were well known back then.

Me and a couple of mates built a 220bhp Nova around that time. Throttle bodies , stand alone ecu , ported polished etc.
220bhp in a Nova ffs lets go die 😂 When they get that highly tuned, they can start to be a bit cantakerous and intractable.

It was silly. Nowadays 220bhp isn’t a lot. But it used to spin up in 4th gear.

Throttle bodies used to sound like the devil was shouting.

Just found a few more pics of things I’ve built /owned many years ago

Westfield? V6 Clio? Like the red Nova.

Kit car was a Stuart Taylor with a fire blade engine. Was so cheap to insure at 19.

Yep a V6 Clio. Wasn’t that quick but was an experience. Crazy money now.

This is the last proper car I owned which I sold as the offer was too good to turn down. It was on the cover of Evo mag which led to me selling it. Ended up simply having fun on motorbikes or using cars from work after that for fun.

Oh did we crash. Brakes even though upgraded were terrible.
Some of the accidents I had it's a wonder I wasn't seriously injured, my si got wrote off after it decided to take me grass tracking through Thetford forest when it left the road at around 80, nope 70, honestly officer I was doing 55-60
