F**king cars

+1 to car breed forums. I had a Merc a couple of years ago that didn't like starting much. The previous owner had spent a small fortune, supposedly successfully but apparently not, sorting the problem out. Half an hour on a Mercedes forum, £70 in an MB dealer and ten ,minutes under the bonnet and it was sorted.
Leaving a car unused over winter will royally eFF it up. You may well knock £500 off it's value through neglect.
Get a mobile diagnostic fella to check it out and if necessary sell it if it's not viable. Even with faults noted but not fixed it has value. It's a Mondeo, which I believe is why you bought it in the first place?
You'll get more now than in the spring.

Allison - it might be worth getting it diagnosed, got mine done at college and it turned out to be a broken sensor wire and a fuse gone..
quick solder on the wire and a new fuse.. £2 later and its sorted.
is the budget tyre price new? I got quoted £25 a tyre for part worn tyres
