As far as I’m aware they were the only (for a reason) carbon spokes available. They weren’t available for long as they had plenty of failures even on the road versions which ultimately sank the company. Great but flawed idea, just like many designs of the ‘prototype’ 90’s.

There was nothing more amazing than watching a stick ‘interact‘ with these spokes. Loads of guys used these at Eastway in the 90s and it happened more often than you’d think.

When that happened I think that would be like watching a train wreck at slow speed. Or like watching someone back their car out of a parking spot and roll into another car or metal pole. Or like watching something valuable get knocked off a table.

Mike Burrows carbon spokes were ok and could probably chop through a small limb due to size.
