Dura Ace Brake Lever Woes and in a funk.

The 7402 was identical to the 7401 apart from the return spring. The Ultergra 6400 series of brake levers and the 1055/1056 didn't use stepped ferrules either, & they are all from the same time the late 80's, Your correct with the 600AX though, they like the Dura-Ace AX did use stepped ferrules.

There was something that needed to go in the lever housing that held the cable outer. They are 7401 levers as they have that engraved on the side. I'll see if I can get a picture of it.
