the guy should have been put away, with shouting out "I'm not stopping" it should have been murder, He clearly signalled his intent to disregard public safety and should have been tried as such. We all make mistakes and have the occasional accident but he knew he could crash and made no attempt to avoid it. Not an accident in my book.

I also get a bit miffed when previous convictions seem to be ignored during sentencing.

bloody hell, it's mad isn't it. i've been knocked off my bike i'd say about 6 times, only once did the driver stop to see if i was alright. one cyclist acts like a twat, and we all get tarred with the same brush. he sounds like a right twat though, throw away the key
