crank problem

Throwing away a working set of Altus cranks is probably not the best idea if the rest of the components are same level. Just buy a better bike when it's necessary.

well if they supposed to be like that I will leave them for the time been lol.. and for the product recall that was like 13 years ago. mines got FC-CT91 on it anyway.. but then again i might look for some cheap good ones for spare just incase :s.. so does anyone know which model will fit as i aint gotta clue about bikes lol

Just been out to the shed to check mine on the back of that. Heh.
Fortunately mine are MC11

And also have the notches as per this chainset, mine are Alivio though and a lot more worn.

Strange that Sheldon Brown says MC11 are riveted, but mine have bolts.

Probably best to contact Madison about the recalled cranks. It's their job.
