it's slightly tongue in cheek - I know that it's easy to pick up a run of punctures and it's just chance...I commute on double fighters (26) and as my tyres age they have become much more puncture prone...I actually threw one away semi worn since it was driving me mad - no punctures at all for six months and then one a week - all in different places in the tyre. We do have bad thorn problems around here on the cycle paths - but I have now gone tubeless in the search for a puncture free commute.
