EDIT 05/11: going to remove headset and brakes if anyone wants frame and forks for £100, going on Ebay tomorrow

Selling for my Dad, I think the price is fair so no offers please, need to make him some money...

Claud Butler renovated 531 frame, 23" centre to top, 22" top tube, centre to centre. Plus an almost new Stronglight headset, and Mafac brakes front and rear (he feels these should stay with the frame as it may be difficult to source suitable brakes otherwise - he doesn't have the levers)
The odd chip, and signs under paintwork of previous scrapes but overall, brilliant condition - £130
Collect from near Glastonbury, meet up off Junction 23 M5, or can arrange postage given time and patience on your part. About £15 with DPD.

Yeah and the price is fair, especially with those Mafic Criterium cantilever brakes which have got to be worth £40-£50

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it, I'll pass it on to Dad as he's always wanted to know more about it. I am toying with the idea of selling the brakes separately and keeping the headset for my bike...

Can't make out frame number as the paint is too thick on BB shell... but it appears to run at right angles to the shell, not around it.

Yeah that’s early Holdsworthy Claud stamping and anyway it can only be from either ‘59 or ‘60 as they dropped the Canti brakes from 1961 onwards

Ah, thank you, that's quite precise enough then
Think I can see 'CB' stamped under the number, which I guess further proves it's a Holdsworthy made frame.
