Hello everybody!
Since I am still waiting for my Brodie to come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, I had some empty space in my resto calendar.
The story of this bike began couple of weeks ago when I went for a ride in park. I noticed old bike behind a tree, but these are very often here in Swe so I didn't pay too much attention to it. However this one was there for very long time so I was certain it was abandoned so I decided to check it out. As I was getting closer to the bike I noticed it didn't have tires, that there was rust all over it and that there was alot of damage on wheels. I felt sorry for the old girl so I decided to restore it and give it to my brother in law as moving in present.
I checked at police if they had anyone reporting stolen old bike and since they didn't have any bike that matched the description nor picture, they thanked me for keeping city clean. Sweds are really polite and I love that!
So this is going to be budget build; the goal is to use everything that can be repaired and reused and to spend as little money as possible.
It has complete STX group on it and Araya rims that have been ridden on without tires; people can be ruthless!
Cables, saddle, grips, seatpost and tires are going to be bought new.
Anyway enough of writing, here are some pictures:
