Carlton careera 531 for sale

Hi

I’m selling a Carlton carerra 531 road bike. These bikes are pretty well known in retro circles.

531c frame and 531c chrome forks

Campagnolo drop outs

Original Weimann Rims on shimano Golden arrow hubs.

Shimano Golden arrow rear and front derailler.

Chainset is Shimano 600 ax and pedals are 600Ax which I now understand are rare.

Gear levers and brakes Shimano golden arrow.

The seat is not original, but is a very nice Brooks.

The other change is the bike has flat bars. I have used it just to tootle around on and the flat bars were nicer.

Other than that it’s a size 21.5 and paint work is in good condition. There are a few minor blemishes but nothing serious. Decals all still good.

It’s a very nice bike that rides nicely.

Selling to make room.

I’m in Hornsea and have a bikebox so happy to post.

Depends on overall condition, but £200 might be a good start?

It’s a cracker to be fair and it’s one of those situations.

Chainset and pedals are ax not ex. The ax grouppo was meant to be more aero than ex. Good ones are quite rare, but the oversize pedal threads are either loved or hated

The kit engraved with an arrow is Shimano Golden Arrow and not Arabesque.
