You wouldn't be disappointed with either. You'd just feel like you got much more for your money with the Boardman. It's well worth looking second hand too as the hybrids tend to be well looked after and can be had for less than the cost of a Carrera.

Fair points raised but agree the subways I have seen the finishing kit has rusted really quickly. Worth noting the second hand prices too - if buying new, the likes of a cannondale will probably warrant you overpaying in the first place as you will get so much more second hand, but in reality if buying new and keeping for a long time, why waste you money on a name only.
