Cannondale Red Shred

The wife is getting none too happy. This will be my 3rd project bike acquisition in about 4 weeks. Six bikes aren't too many, Is it?

I was looking for a parts bike, on my wife's FB marketplace page, for rims and tires for my Fisher Montare and came across this fuzzy non-drivetrain side pic. I offered less but they were firm on the price.
I decided to save the pic and zoom in to try and see if was worth the asking price.
What do I make out? Red Shred and, vaguely, Cannondale. I sent a message saying I will pick it up after work Sunday.
It looks to have Grip Shifters but I can make out anything else. The headtube would suggest a larger frame.

I bought this a few years back now and it has had 2 careful 'known' Retrobike owners prior to me. I have enjoyed looking at it every time I go into the garage but unfortunately that's as much "use" as it gets. If I am honest this was a nostalgia purchase for me having owned one in 89...that itch...

Much of yours is still there, though the brakes at both ends look to have been changed, shifters and seat and post.

Had a deal with the seller and a time to pick it up. They sold it to someone else without letting me know.
I hate liars and people who don't keep their word. I guess that's today's world.
