Cannondale Killer V(T) 900 build thread

From the photo it looks like a 1&1/4" steerer tube is needed so I took a chance and bought a steel tubed Pep fork from Germany, again from a member here. ... If I've guessed wrong re the steerer tube size I have a couple of forks, a headset and a choice of stems.

If it has traditional double seat stays, it's from 1994 and has 1-1/4" steerer tube. If it has wishbone seat stays it's from 1995 or later and has 1-1/8" steerer tube.

A try with the Manitou Mach 5. Works, but nicer with Pepperoni. Now doing a touch up painting to the Pepperoni that my daughter wanted to u-lock to her bike... you'll guess what happened.

Some small blue bits and pieces added, and black Onzas changed to bright ones.

Got Hope skewers and repro Onza Porcipaw grips, so I think she is finished now.

I've got an M700 that is sound but very rough - and I was thinking of stripping the paint and then polishing. How did you go about polishing? If I can get anything like that I'd be really pleased.
