Cannondale Killer V(T) 900 build thread

From the photo it looks like a 1&1/4" steerer tube is needed so I took a chance and bought a steel tubed Pep fork from Germany, again from a member here. ... If I've guessed wrong re the steerer tube size I have a couple of forks, a headset and a choice of stems.
If it has traditional double seat stays, it's from 1994 and has 1-1/4" steerer tube. If it has wishbone seat stays it's from 1995 or later and has 1-1/8" steerer tube.

A try with the Manitou Mach 5. Works, but nicer with Pepperoni. Now doing a touch up painting to the Pepperoni that my daughter wanted to u-lock to her bike... you'll guess what happened. IMG_0052.JPEG

Cor - thats an absolute stunner. Great build!

I've got an M700 that is sound but very rough - and I was thinking of stripping the paint and then polishing. How did you go about polishing? If I can get anything like that I'd be really pleased.
