Can i replace my Shimano

2007 XT-R shifters with some thing like grip shift ?? I really like the look of Sram X-0 but the they wont work.

No fella, if yer going with XO shifters you need the sram mech to go with it due to the different amounts of cable they pull to index. You can run any sram mech though. Sram do make a shifter to run with shimano but it's not as bling as the XO ones. Can't remember the name it's either the rocket or the attack

Nothing wrong with a bit of Sram, I've used it for years on the mtb right back to the early days of the gripshift. Try not to use shimano unless i have to . My road bike is campy and the Mtb sram. Would like to try the sram road stuff but it's well expensive and i'm not riding the road enough at the moment.
