Buckley Bros Road Bike 1949

I think if it was completely original, ie in its original paint (even if tatty) and with most or all of its original fittings, then, with the original bill of sale it would be quite sought-after. But even then, because it’s not one of the big name bikes like Hobbs or Gillot, it’ll never be worth a huge amount. In completely original condition with the bill of sale I think you might be lucky to get £350. In its current guise it will probably fetch closer to £150. I think the reality is the rest of the components don’t add any value because they don’t match and they’re not high-end or sought-after parts, so if you were to strip it, the frame and fork would probably fetch about the same value.
