Brodie Sovereign 95'

Not mine but I came across this Sovereign that initially looked very interesting

I then paid close attention to picture 5/17 and I think the ST was cut / shorten and a new collar with quick release was fitted. The picture is not very clear btw.

I might be wrong but it would be interested to get your opinions on this! Anyways, the price is too goo to be true too!

I don't think it's been cut. It would've originally had a a Brodie collar with an allen bolt. I know they weren't the toughest, as mine cracked and had to be replaced

Thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that there was a welded collar binder but this seems to be the case for older models.

Do you know if it’s easy to find the original collars? They seemed to me a bit more elegant although now that I know they also crack more often it might not worth the effort going after them.

If that is a Hope quick release then I think it's quite easy to replace the lever with a nice bolt of the right size.
