Brian Rourke build

Well I've taken it out for a shakedown ride and now I need to get the fit right. The frame sizing is not far off by modern standards nut probably I bit small for me in the 80s.

At best it needs a longer 27.2 seatpost - probably an extra 45-50mm as I'm on the line and it's a couple of inches short still. The top tube is about right. Currently I have 140mm showing from the top of the ST to the saddle rail so I need something about 250mm long I reckon. It also needs to look balanced.

Worst case scenario is that it may end up for sale and me on the lookout for a 56/57
