Hi all
Do you guys over there across the pond make fresh hop brews this time of year?
Made from fresh wet hops straight from the vine.
This is my favorite time of year because of the fresh hop beers available.
I'm driving all over the place trying to get as many as possible.
Show me what you got. Tell me about them. mmmmm beer.
Cheers
Roy

Re:

Interested to know more about this, is it just the taste that is altered?

I don't know a great deal about brewing myself but this sounds intriguing. I certainly have an interest in good beer

Re:

Yes. I'm growing hops at home and some guys at the local allotments are growing them on a more industrial scale...

This time of year for me is more about harvesting the apples for cider and the sloe berries for gin!

Yes we make it....lots of breweries here have festivals around this time of season to celebrate it.

This is the beer made by the best brewery local to me:

They also had a massive hop fest last weekend - sadly I didn't make it as I was another beer festival :)
Nice!!! That is what I was interested in seeing. We had a similar
Hop Fest last week as well. Was a good time. Lots of good beers.

Thanks for input.
Primarily just the taste is different using fresh hops.
And sometimes has a `greener' aroma like a fresh hop smells.

Re:

I need to get there! Looks awesome. Love a good fresh hop beer.

Edit - this is the hop fest

If you're on Instagram find them there for pictures of this year's event. I'll be there 100% next year. There's a direct off road trail from my house to the brewery. The ride back would be classic - 15 miles in the dark after a few jars of 6.5% beer
