Thinking is single speed does not really work on this bike for me. The bikes quite long and low, good for xc racing but not the most comfortable. If out of the saddle in SS mode I prefer not to be bent double staring straight down at the front wheel. I reckon staying seated and using a variety of gears might work better on this for me. Very stiff frame though so its either steel forks or suspension on the Grisley. An alloy fork would cause rattling teeth and a compacted spine :shock:

I'd forgotten just how well my old '08' Stumpjumper Expert rides, I've been riding my new +bike for months now and their like night and day. The Stumpy is fast, light, nimble, chuckable and comfy :twisted:

And today I did...... notice that the decals on my new Surly Troll were lifting off even though the bike has never stepped out the door ever :?
