27.2mm seat post in a 27mm frame

Re:

I have just bought an old Kona which someone has removed a stuck post without a lot of care and it still wouldnt take a 27.2 post instead of the correct 27.0 so i would say wait for the right size :D

Alright, next inane seatpost question. Having trawled fleabay for 27.0mm seatposts, do I go for a fairly decent Easton aluminium one or a suspiciously cheap Kalloy Uno carbon fibre one? I'd like a carbon one but the choice in that seat tube size is somewhat limited.

Re:

Check the weights if that's important to you. Cheap carbon posts can weigh more than decent alloy posts

Kalloy make seatpins for almost everyone, it's not likely to be a bad seat pin........

Which model easton?

And not sure she/he knows what a fortune is. The EA70 is only about 40-50 quid new..........

All I know it it's a black one :)

I think I might go for the carbon one actually if the make is decent.

Poor anodizing? Porous finish, scratches, salty water.......

A perfect (HA!) hard anodized finish would only be subject to the salty water (and it'd take far longer as it'd have no where to attack.)
