2000 Kona King Kahuna – do they exist?

Well well well, how very interesting. Firstly, thank you very much for posting up the scans of What Mountain Bike Magazine. You mentioned Summer 2000; was that the cover date?
Secondly, those reviews back then were really excellent; something that I (we) can actually relate to, and a generation away from what I read today.
Finally, sadly still no 2000 King Kahuna!
The bike on review seems to be an early 1997 model :shock: . It has a down Tube Rear Mech routing, seen on the early 1997 King Kahuna.
It has a 1998/9 Seat Tube Decal, the 1998 Top Tube and Down Tube Decals, but it does have a 2000 Head Tube Decal. Sadly for my (re)search, is that it has no factory fitted Disc Tabs as seen in the "artist's impression" in the 2000 Catalogue.
