1996 Kona Kilauea - Latest Pics 11/06/10 - BOMBERS!

yeah, so no changes didnt last long

now has a sugino impel 700 crank, XT BB
M950 XTR V's, and soon (once i've sorted out the flared bit at the top of the steerer), a lush and "so light i'm not sure i'm holding it" Ti stem. oh yes.

i've updated the spec in the first post - no photos of this 22.8 or so lb spec....

Is that the X-Lite bar I swapped with you? Funnily enough the X-Lite riser you sent in my direction is now on my 97 Kilauea! It was meant for my daughter, but it wasn't yellow and I refused to paint it, so one day I thought I'd try it myself. With that and a 98 stem (more rise), I definitely prefer the steering. That added 100gr, but I still say it made it faster (in my hands anyway). Plus another 350gr for my winter Survivals, which also make it faster, if only seasonally, and I'm pretty much back to the original weight!

it is indeed that bar. it's staying exactly as long as it takes me to find the right ti bar at the right price - 600mm is actually a little wide for me

18in C-T, as kona measure it

the long stem and well-laid-back saddle shrink her a bit i think
