Haha I never considered that. It says it's 3*8 compatible, that was as far as I looked. Wouldn't even know how to find out beyond mounting the thing.

 
Should be alright if you don't mind a slightly wider q factor, I wouldn't worry about chainline if you're just running 3x7. Seeing the angles on my 1x11 I'm pretty decided on the fact that it really doesn't ******* matter
 
But tbh if you just want a reliable 3x crankset I always recommend truvativ isoflow which is still available new for cheaps and lasts a good long time and is 104 bcd so easily replaceable rings on the cheap. It's a nobrainer really
