hi thanks for all the questions i wear a false hand to grip the other bar its in the shape that your hand is when on bar this opens with a fair bit of pressure, in case i fall off then it comes away from the bar

But I'm confused - you lost your left hand & forearm, but the controls are on the left hand side?
