1992 press fit BB; how do I install it?

Since the center portion of the spindle is a larger diameter than the ID of the bearing, I was able to hammer/tap the bearings out using the spindle.

Spindle is square taper. Cartridge bearings press fit into the BB shell, and are retained with a circlip on each side. I can use the bolt/socket/washer bearing press method for one side. But I won't be able to do the second one the same way with the spindle in place.

Any ideas for how to install it?

Re:

Just the same.

Fit bearing one side, fit axle (can do this but of the bike if you prefer)

Fit other bearing, pop circlips in.

Use washer/socket etc that cover both races so you don't damage them.

Same method is used for hubs
