1991 Giant Cadex - opinions required

That already looks so much better.

The Manitou compliment the Carbon.

Did I also spot some black control tech bars and stem?. Very Very nice, one of the nicest Giant frames I have seen.

If you want a nice example of a STS, look at Iron V6. :D

That Kona's now been reduced to component parts and will be on here later... It is remarkably tidy though... it's a 91...

Nick

Stem is Controltech, but bar is a non branded item... Am going to use that Ritchey Forcelite...

Think mine's a '91 (that you may have had a hand in tricking me into), can I dibs forks and stem please? :p

^^^^ I'd love to take it off your hands mate as £5k is not a bad price for a beast like that, but unfortunately my pockets aren't quite deep enough to fund it's habit for super unleaded as well as general running costs. )-: and ultimately I can't get a damn bike in the boot! As I used to have E39 525i Sport. Wish they'd made an official E39 M5 Tourer! Lol
Glws of it though! (-:

Yeah, fuel is the reason I'm selling... It's a fully loaded facelift with 100k on... will be cheapest in country when advertised, so shouldn't hang about...

m5

For a facelift with that mileage? That's good! How's the vanos on start up from cold and any creaking from the rear bushes? Also the achilies heel of all E39's! How's the handbrake?? Lol
Superb cars though! Has the ability to be a go kart and a limo all in one! And change the headers and exhaust manifold and it'll kick out circa 470bhp without a remap! And the noise off that S62 V8 is one of Munich's finest! Absolutely love them.

Vanos is fine, my specialist who looks after the car said there is no worries with it... I'll miss the growl of the S62... it's like a Nascar when it's on song!

Rear bushes OK but handbrake not great! Did front control arm bushes a couple of months back...

Didn't realise you could get another 70 hp out of the headers...

bmw

Yeh the s62 is strangled by the headers and mainfold as they are essentially the same as a std 540i? So by changinng those, straight away the V8 breathes properly and developes it's full potential. By changing those, a de cat, remap and some better air filters it makes the s62 produce not far off 500bhp and torque is up quite a bit as well. Also by fitting an E60 genuine bmw quick shift to the gearbox it improves the gear change siginificantly.

The E39 M5 is a car that for one M-Power didn't fully exploit, mainly due to emission constrictions both here and in North America. Hence why 400bhp was what it left Munich with.
