1990 Lavoie Titanium made by Maurice Lavoie

Just found Mark Lavoie on Youtube. He's the titanium harmonica player and nothing to do with Maurice it seems. When you put in Lavoie and titanium in to google you get a lot about him.

What I did learn is that it pronounced Lavoy like a-hoy!

Here's a couple of photos from Mark, the first owner. He kindly sent them over today. Wish I knew what the head tube badge looked like!

I dont know what im more amazed at....the fact you found a Lavoie, or the price you paid for it...

Man the whole story is cool, and it has to be the score of the decade.

That is V.cool indeed! - Echoing Sinnermans post, great story of how you found it and the price!......Amazing!

Was going to add the scans that I'd done from the MBUK article that I'd posted here..

........but you've beaten me to it!

Elite504 recalled correctly! - Nov 1990 was the Tomac cover.
Oct 1990 was the RC100/ Fat chance head to head. ;)

Watching with interest!

Cheers.

Thanks for sharing it here Mark :) Would be great to see you posting a bit more often; I know you have a few interesting bikes and the information will be better preserved here, compared to the throw away nature and glitch ridden searching on Facebook. I'm guilty myself too as it's so much easier to share pics on social media platforms

Re:

I certainly second Adrians sentiment, i think you are lost elsewhere if this is your sort of skillset. (and face book is crap for old bikes unless its used for stalking heros or trying to buy and sell imho)

And Adrian, you need to pull your socks up with build threads as much as me, I know what secrets your hiding.... ;) And that my friend NEEDS to be shared...!

Re:

wow this post brings back memories, I raced a Lavoie back in the 1990's, I bought it from another welder who worked for him during the GT era. I'll see if i can dig up some pictures. Unfortunately the bike was stolen TTN 90

I may have a line on another one...

Rollercam you’ve got my attention! Love to know about other Lavoie bikes. And defo like to see more pictures! I know what the tube decals look like but not the head tube. What was it like to race? If yours was TTN90 then I guess he made at least 90 bikes. I may have found a guy who knows him well and can get some contact details. I’ll keep you posted:)
