For Sale 1983 Raleigh SBDU 753 frame with full Campagnolo 50th edition groupset!

flatbar

Retro Newbie
A near immaculate 21.5" Raleigh 753 frame (SB6029) with a 50th edition Campagnolo record groupset. All items are in good or very good condition. The tubs are new and the brake lever hoods are NOS, but otherwise it's all original equipment. I have posted a few shots below but here is a link to a photo album showing more details (both the good and the not quite perfect!) - https://photos.app.goo.gl/CbNCC8SepJkcEWNe8

I am happy to post the bike within the UK but would prefer that the buyer inspects it first - South Shropshire based.

£3500

Serious question....
Why hang a bike on a wall?
SWMBO will say it is nothing more than a dust trap - and she's right.
It's an awkward shape.
Lots of hard metal bits at eye level and totally impractical in a domestic room.
It is a wasting asset and you will never retire to The Seychelles if you sell it.
Bikes are made to be ridden not looked at.

On fleabway there is a guy selling a Colnago Master. Been hung on his wall for 20 years. He claims it has done fewer than 100 miles. Best offer yet is £750. Reserve not met. He's relisted it twice.

Just asking for a friend.

That's a beautiful machine 😍, I have a 753 Dynaflite a few numbers earlier than yours but had been painted in later Panasonic Team livery. Good to see the style of decals used and very similar to a couple of Raleigh Team time trial bikes I've seen..👍 IMG_20230821_144714_HDR.jpg

And didn't they have vertical dropouts and say Time Trial Special?

I think they did, road bike in TT Livery with lightweight paint and decal instead of head badge?

SBDU would have done that OEM if requested I guess.

Same style of outline graphic used on this Team bike built for Team Raleigh's top time trial man, it was repainted especially for the 1983 edition of the Tour de France 👍
