1983 Joe Breeze Series III "The Breezer"

Re:

Seriously beautiful frame, and that fork, wow!

Nothing has a dull sheen like nickle plating, so cool.

Making some progress on the Breezer.

Finally found the correct gold Araya 26 x 1.75 Gold Rims. Note the unused braking surfaces!

These rims will be built up to Phil Wood hubs.

Thank you to the fine folks at First Flight Bikes for the Breezer Seatpost Sandwitch allowing us to run the proper Brooks saddle.

NOS Mafac 5 dot brakes ready for install. Note, this bike is going to get ridden but starting out with as many NOS parts as possible to error on the side of function. I am going to get this bike dirty!

More parts are trickling in and I'll share as the build comes together.

Re:

The Breezer build is farther along than this thread shows so I will be doing my best to bring it up to speed this week. I've learned a ton about these old Breezers in the last 6 months and am really bummed that I won't be on the Pearl Pass Ride this year with this Breezer or the old Salsa. Oh well, next year.

Here are a couple rare bits that have come in for the build:

1.) NOS DURA ACE Uniglide Chain (32 years old and still in the box!)

2.) NOS Suntour BMX pedals (for those into vintage BMX you will know what a grail these are!)

3.) Specialized Stumpjumper Tires

Building up the wheels this week and will update soon with more photos.

This bike will be one of the rarest in our collection and we are looking forward to seeing it come alive.
