That's heart attack territory for me . I did have a 64 many many years ago , it scared the bejesus out of me when I could get it spinning .

Kinda be experimenting with 68/46 or similar set up with my 12-36 cassette but later in the year.

Be about the same age as mine , bit younger maybe but smarter . I'm no tt rider though , knees are shot .

It was the 68 ring I have & was a one off experiment only as on that bike back then I used a 55 or 57 ring normally

I had a 13-18 block & was extremely tough to get moving from the start but rolled nicely but felt like peddling in slow motion & from memory felt slow so was surprised when I had done a short 23 for the 10miles….
