    Marzocchi bomber Allen key size?

Re: Thank you for the information. I have a socket set Allen key that fits on an extension bar that will reach down inside the stantion. I have now tried this with the 3mm key and it appears to be slipping. I can feel it bumping over as I turn it. These forks were bought second hand so a...

Hello, I am hoping someone holds the answer to my question. I have a set of Marzocchi Bomber mx comp ETA (2003) forks. According to the instruction manual I understand that the rebound is adjusted internally with an Allen key within the right leg after removing the top cap. But does not say...

How to fit v brake mounts on suspension fork

Re: Hello, yes I am still interested in the parts, the middle set look like they will work, the thread is 8mm. £6 is very fair. How would you like me to pay? We will need to exchange addresses. I plan to put the forks on a 1995 Kona Cinder cone that I have owned from New.

How to fit v brake mounts on suspension fork

The left leg has the ETA function. Right leg only has an air valve on top. And I believe there is an internal damping adjustment inside the right leg. I am planning to change the oil in the next couple of days so I will report my findings.

How to fit v brake mounts on suspension fork

Re: Let all the air out and they don't collapse and remain bouncy though somewhat softer. So I gather they are coil and the correct psi is 0 -15?

How to fit v brake mounts on suspension fork

How to fit v brake mounts on suspension fork

Re: Hello, I have tried twice to submit a file but have told the file is too large and I am now defeated by the technology. The forks are Marzocchi Bomber MX Comp 03, 105mm travel. Black fork with grey/red decals. There was a plastic plug where the brake bosses fit. These I have removed and...

How to fit v brake mounts on suspension fork

Re: So these images show what is needed to allow me to use v brakes on marzocchi forks. There is a bit more to it than I was expecting. I have been looking online with little success. Any idea where I can obtain a set of these? Would a bike shop have these in stock?

How to fit v brake mounts on suspension fork

Hello, I am hoping to fit some marzocchi suspension forks and use my existing v brakes with them. The forks have a threadded boss where the brakes should fit and I have found the mounts to insert into these (8mm). So far so good. My problem is there is nowhere for the brake tension spring to...

Suspension fork old but unused, will it be ok to use?

Re: Ok, I contacted one of my LBS and they declined to service the forks due to their age and that if parts were needed to be replaced they were not kept in stock which I thought was fair. Given that the forks are as new except for their age I am assuming they will not need any parts replacing...

Suspension fork old but unused, will it be ok to use?

Hello, I have just aquired a bike that has done less than 50 miles since new in 2004. It was put in storage and never used. The forks are Marzocchi bomber freeride 130 mm travel and have an 03 written near the bottom which I assume is year of manufacture. My concern is will these forks be ok to...

Chinese suspension forks, are they any good?

Hello, I see lots of brands ( bolany, krsec, lutu, toseek, meijun) of air suspension forks for sale on eBay at very reasonable prices. Are these too good to be true? Does anybody have any experience with using them? It is possible they are made in the same factories as more well known expensive...

    Kona cindercone paint colour

Re: Oh and the original bottom bracket was replaced ( and kept) this summer, it still worked but was beginning to growl slightly. And I also replaced the STX crank and rings for a second hand sugino set. The STX is still good but the middle ring 32t was badly worn. Can this ring be replaced, is...

    Kona cindercone paint colour

Re: Yes exactly the same blue. Off into town tomorrow to see what I can find as a best paint match. Will look for the rover kingfisher blue as that looks a close match. The only original components on the bike now are the mavic wheels and hubs, rear & front mech. Everything else has been...

    Kona cindercone paint colour

Re: Hello, Thanks for the info. I will make contact regarding the decals. The frame was stripped of all components this morning so I can get a good look at it. The chain stay is the worst area and three has also been some tyre rub in that area. The rest is general chips scrapes and cable rub. I...
