    Help identify my raleigh please

Sure, I'll check for holes in head badge area. I'll also try see what colour is inside frame (head tube or bb) to see if its different. I'll get some pics of the forks dropouts and post them up soon. Thanks

It also has soldered spokes, something they did back then.

Last of the pics. Parts may not be original (if it came as a frame only). Of course bar tape isn't and that'll be coming off soon.

    Help identify my raleigh please

Hi all, I was given a raleigh a couple years ago. I haven't been able to identify the model though. The guy also had a red and black raleigh which I think is the team replica? Anyway, he used to race and TT on these raleighs back in the day. He said this green one came as a frame (iirc) and was...

    Raleigh Kalahari

Hi all, picked up a Raleigh Kalahari recently. It has a cromo sticker on the frame but all other decals are missing. What would the forks have been made of? Hi ten? Cromo? Tange (unlikely)? Not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet, probably another single speed hack. Thanks

    1949? Norman

Hi all, this is my Norman, which has a 1949 3 speed hub, laced to Raleigh westrick rims and Raleigh spokes. I'm guessing the frame is of the same age but can't be sure? It came with non original 2 speed cranks. If anyone would know anything about these bikes, it'd be much appreciated to hear...

1988 Dawes Scorpio, restoration, sale or skip?

I just picked up a Scorpio and despite it being 'gas pipe' (or so people love to point out to me on Facebook) it actually rides really really well. It's probably my favourite bike at the moment! I wonder after all this time how are you getting on with yours? Still got it? Anything to report?

    80s muddy Fox courier

Hi, I recently picked up an 80s muddy Fox courier. Finally, local (isle of Wight) and in my size! The paintwork is battered. Can anyone tell me what paint it is please? It seems to be white, with a shiny pearl or metallic in it that makes it pop. I have started rubbing it down in places and...

    Retrobike Touring.

Also, a quick question... Do you think its better to run old square tapered BBs and cranksets (which are harder to replace these days and take more tools to take on off out in the field) or change to modern, external BBs and either 3 speeds or singles cranks for more availability and less...

Why do I prefer larger frames?

Ive re-measured...sorry my mistake (ive measured about 8 or 9 of my frames yesterday and got mixed up). 22" from bb to tt. 21"tt length. Im measuring tt between head and seat (not centre of head and centre of seat or anything like that). So an inch difference.
