if the ministry of defence made bikes.....

It is fairly industrial in the pivot/linkage/shock mount area....

I've google searched for 'Kastle' - but there doesn't seem to be anything about. :?

There are a few Kastle bikes here on the forum, and the owners seem to be pretty happy about them. I'm really warming up to the idea of getting a Kastle myself.
However it's the first time I see a Kastle FS.

Any chance that it may be for sale? (assuming it's in the 18.5" C-T range)

So that's what it looks like built..... Thanks for posting it up!

Not sure if it's for sale or not, i'm going in again next week to pick up some 'things', i'll ask some more about it.

when you do a search you have to type "Kaestle"

kästle was and is an Austrian situated ski manufacturer who was bought in the 90s by the Italian Benetton company, which then forced the brand into the bike direction, too.

thats why there is a strong Italian association (Bonazzi, Ancillotti, Formula brakes, aso.)
here in Austria, from time to time a Kästle bike appears in the small ads, mostly for small money, if their is any interest in that brand, just give me a shout and I will post that ads to the one interested. Can check my old magzines for Kästle related test aso.

btw. very nice and unique bike that 10 FS with nice history (bonazzi) 8)

if the overall condition of the bike in the shed of the LBS is good, I would go for it

pull shock system

Actually it's a push linkage. Systems like GT Lobo/STS/LTS, Yeti/Schwinn Straight 8, and Paramount SASS were pull shock.
