Now for my next project a 1992 Cannondale M800 "Beast of the East." I haven't been able to locate a 1988-90 Cannondale Red Shred, so here is the next best thing. The frame was advertised as NOS with some storage marks and I would agree. There doesn't look like a BB had ever been installed. For the parts I am going to go all black with a LX groupo.

Here are some early shots:

Hmmmmm.. a NOS Beast; looking forward to seeing this progress. I've got a '91 SM800; I'm pretty sure Cannondale dropped the 'S' in '92 :?:

Nice one, besides the big headtube (wich I dont like by the looks of it) I like it that much I am searching for one myself.

What size is it?

Looking forward seeing this build.

cheers,
Martin

By the look of the headtube, I think it is a 24" ;)
Actually, it is a 22" I just got the wheels back yesterday, black RM20s, black spokes, black nipples and black XT 732 hubs. If anyone has some old blackwall Porqs, let me know. The parts are starting to roll in, I just received the black Toplines from Mike H. Thanks Mike!

I decided to go with a mix of XT and LX. My main goal is outfit it with as much black as I can.

A little update. I am still waiting on some parts. I am digging the progress so far...

Love it!
I loved how Cannondale had a down sloping top tube when no-one else did! :D
