Orange Clockwork SS Project!

Well here goes my first serious attempt at a retro-build. It a 1993(?) 19" Orange Clockwork. My first quality bike as i've never really been able to afford a nice bike!

I got this of E-Bay for a steal and have got rid of most of the bits i won't need as i want this as a simple winter rider. Here's the pic as i got it off Ebay.

The plan is to powder coat it white and complete with a mix of black and gold parts.

To start off I got rid of the suspension forks and went on the hunt for some rigid's and got these lovely nickel plated P7's (Thanks RAFbikes).

Here is some pics of the rolling chassis:

I'm thinking about painting the forks white as well? But should i keep them nickel palted :?

Any advice/ideas will be greatly appreciated

I will keep you updated on the build.

Nice project  , good move getting rid of the suspension forks
as looking at the pic i suspect they were a bit long for the frame so it
should ride and handle better with the rigids, i'd keep the forks silver,
in fact unless the paint is really bad on the frame i'd leave that too, i
quite like the silver/blue fade, what about just polishing it up and fitting new decals ?

Are you keeping the Maguras ?, single speed is a good plan too,
those manky gear things have had their day

Paint the frame that fade paint job is not very nice... White with orange decals will look great.
