I too love Hope, had Mono Mini's, the old C2's and now run M4's with floating rotors, all very good power and if set up right can feel fantastic.

I've got Hayes MX2's and I think they're excellent stoppers. Put 203mm rotors on to see how much differnce it made. It made lots but put the 165's back on as there's enough stoppability in them for me

i've used mx2s and found them good, i've got a hayes9 on my trailstar which is pretty good too

buy some shimano xt brakes, they are the best brakes i've ever had. hope are good and so are hayes but the new xt's are soooo much better, easy to work on and easy to set up.
