Ets Libéria, only makers of mountain bikes in france, would study and produce a special mtb. Eric Doutrelepont would climb mount Kilimandjaro ( Uhuru : 5 895 m). This climb would be done in 3 stages. 2 750 m, the other 3 800 m and the last at 5 000 m. It would take Eric 1 day and half to go back down"
Apparently this bike has internal hub braking, internal rear gearing with freewheel and 3 chain ring derailleur. So you have 3 thumb shifters

I’d not heard of Liberia!

I bought a Sunn Totall which was on eBay - (for my nephew)
Made a low offer and he accepted it!
It works splendidly - but needs a proper clean - there’s rust on the fittings and cassette, front mech and cranks in places - so some WD40 - new bolts and a deep clean will sort this out - I also have a cassette for it.
Nearly all original - decals damaged and the one at the front head badge is
Missing. Decal missing from the ESP 7.0 rear mech.
But it’s for my nephew and he’s happy with it
It’s quite heavy!! Then again after being with very lightweight bikes lately I guess most would be surprised at other bikes weights

This Sunn could be really smart with a little attention and upgrades.

Nice purchase Ibbz, 13kg?
So yesturday I went to a charity shop. In the bike section lay a rust bucket MS racing comp. The cool stem was broken, however more interestingly attached were these CLB saturn 3 canti levers. I'd recently posted that I'd never seen these. Well when you look you find. Don't know if these were made by CLB (Charles Lauzier Bourgoinor) or rebadged. Sachs bought them at one point whom then got rebought. These are possibly the last CLB made brakes. Unless someone can tell me otherwise? 1931 to ? RIP. Weigh 224g the pair.

I tried to weigh the bike - it was just over 26 lbs which is about 12 kg.
That’s a lucky find - I’m not familiar with those canti brake levers - definitely rare!
I don’t think they’re Sachs - the Sachs I’ve seen are a different shape
I’ve decided my next bike has got to be all white - a Look Mi80 or a white sunn. I’ve a build in mind
