Your favourite tyre

Ritchey Megabite Z-Max were ace, I used to race on them. I was rubbish at racing but they were nice fast tyres. 26x1.95, IIRC.

Re:

I always used the Tioga Farmer John's Nephew in the 1990s and have been unable to source any since. These days i use something very different on both electric and pedal bikes - Schwalbe Fat Frank.

Here's the school-run bike on the coffee/cream ones...

So many :)

Z max, psycho front with any panaracer with bar pattern on rear, and specialized tyres suprised me when i borrowed a friends bike once.

My favourite tyre of all time is the irc missile though :D not xc but the most perfect predictable and controlable tyre ive ever used

Re:

The 1990s Dart and Smoke Lite. The Dart wasn't much better than a normal Smoke but the Smoke Lite gave much better traction in mud than a normal Smoke - it was thin enough to dig in and find grip. I could ride up the golf course from the Plympton bike path (sorry golfers!) where I used to have to walk with a 2.1" Smoke on the back.
