There's a WTB Phoenix Ti on eBay US right now. I've mailed the seller to see if he'll sell frame only, but otherwise I bagsied it first

Because his prices start at three thousand dollars for a frame and go from there - I can't rationalise that!

Cheers - someone on MTBR mentioned that, and apparently he's after top dollar. Oh well, perhaps I got my hopes up a little ahead of time.

There are a couple of problems:

1. He's in the US, charging $150 for shipping in the US, plus whatever I need to pay to get it over the pond once I've got it from him to the forwarding address.

2. He really only wants to sell as a complete bike. I'd rather put my own kit on and not have to pay shipping over here for his chosen componenty.

3. I've hear rumour the reserve is $3k.

On a positive note:

I've made him an offer for the frame only that he's probably going to accept if the complete bike doesn't sell.
