I feel a little stupid about this
...I've had the bike/groupset (first gen 600 SIS) from new and for the life of me cannot remember whether is a freewheel or cassette (I suspect it is the latter).
Question is this, what I have is a Shimano 600 hub, how can I tell from the appearance of the hub whether it is a freewheel or cassette?
