Well a great weekend had despite the brutal headwinds and a few crashes resulting in a couple of stitches to my elbow.

Looks like a weekend well spent. I reckon the whole of Scotland had headwinds this weekend, no matter which direction you were going!

The weather looks not too bad Dave.Overcast and threatening but theres no wet ground[in those pics]and thats always a big bonus when theres a headwind.
Show up a pic of the elbow then, and a full explanation with excuses

I'm making myself a tv cabinet, the major work is done bar putting the bevel mouldings on the other 26 pieces that make up the sides/legs then a no doubt nightmarish task of gluing and screwing the whole thing together while keeping it all individual pieces in alignment.
The moulding will be the same on the shelf and top and i may also [probably]curve the front and rear of them :?
Stands 18" high.32" wide.18" deep
Made from an entire 1"x8'x4' mdf board with very little scrap, so its going to be pretty heavy.
MDF doesnt look very nice plain or even stained[God i'd have loved to have used maple for this :(] So its probably going to be painted :?

Cool work Andy,

The route was very wet - 30 - 50% I reckon was like this (and that is the track on the left not a stream)...

Even the drier tracks were tacky, like a fine clay, I think because of the forestry vehicles. the roads were dry though.

Elbow hurts more than it looks bad, hand was so swollen they xray'd the arm but it is fine now....

I hope the elbow injury was a dignified high speed tumble and not a slo mo one.

I specialise in the slo mo tumble personally.

 Elbow injury was me deliberately riding through a puddle to use the sloping rock at the end as a jump: puddle was deeper than it looked and rock wasn't sloping under the water - over the bars I went  It was fast though.

The guys lasted 2 pints in the town, they were knackered :) it was funny, one of them was falling asleep during the meal.
Ate at the Argyll, nice but pricey, although went back for full scottish breakfast in the morning - £6 with bottomless coffee and orange juice. (you have to book it if you aren't staying there.)
