thanks for all the feedback everyone, its nice this one has been so well received, sorry its taken me so long to reply, I only just noticed the last few posts, the site has stopped e-mailing me for some reason. To answer Grumpy, the bars are a replacement I sourced off e-bay after months and months of being outbid cos they were going for silly money but I eventually dropped on and you're right, it was originally BRG, I stripped a patch to see on the pic you mention and I wondered later maybe I should have stuck with that colour. Rob, you're right the ride is certainly 'different' when you're used to (comparatively) modern stuff, as are the looks you get! but its because it looks so old-fashioned that I like it. On the ride side though, the Sturmey hub gear is really quite impressive, I just flushed some oil through a few times and it changes really sweet.
