. . . to a whole new way of communication.

There's people who are regular riders.

Others who have never had or taken photos or posted about, riding.

There are some here who I would like to meet and buy a pint.

Others who I wouldn't want to be I the same room with.

Some on here build lots' of bikes.

Others who seem to spend their days breaking them, and just flogging the good stuff.

People who I've helped with my knowledge.

Others who have helped me with theirs. Thank you all!

And that's all from people who I've never even met!

Just a username, and I have an idea what they will have to post about! Amazing isn't it!

The Retrobike folk that I've met, all seem like good blokes, and we share good riding and banter. I look forward to seeing more of them in mid June, at what must be, the biggest retro gathering of the year.

Just wanted to make that observation.

What are yours?

All the best

Mike

Re:

I totally agree :)

Although I am not sure which of the above categories I fall into, and If I bring anything to Retrobike

The info and knowledge has been a life saver which is most appreciated

Re:

Some very striking, and recognizable, observations there, Mike :D !

I'm also always surprised by to what extent the content of forum posts can be -more or less- predicted based on someone's username.

For some strange reason, I sometimes tend to think fellow forum members actually look like their avatars ;) , which is great fun when you actually see pictures of them appearing on here

I'm in agreement with most of that Mike, although I'll admit I rarely post images of my bicycles or builds - guess I'm just an old git that doesn't take loads of photos ?

Too bloody true

Very astute observations Mike and I really can't disagree with you.

Better start growing the hair and beard to fit my avatar :D

Re:

I have no avatar now, and can't seem to add one!

Goodness knows why, I 've had them in the past

Back to tinkering ;)
