The sidebar is there for a reason - the ads support the site.
There is a template without the sidebar if it turns out to be an issue for people. Many were using this but got switched back to the sidebar template when changing timezone.
In the course of putting a fix in place for this issue ended up having to switch everyone onto the default sidebar template. As such for the next couple of days will allow users to switch templates as they will.
After this you can PM me without a
face or a :x face and especially not a :cry: and don't even think about a :evil: face and I will switch you to the alternate template without a sidebar. If people do wish to use these emoticons I have a special double sidebar template lined up just for you.
