Hifi buffs, Linn Classik, is it any good?

So I’ve been offered a Linn Classik mk1 (I think)

I wondered what the hifi buffs on here thought of them and any owners past or present what can you tell me about them

It will be driving a pair of Tannoy 603’s

It’s to replace my Techincs low end cd & amp, which is fine, but not great

I’ve read a few reviews on t’interweb, but would like to know if any 1st hand experiences with it?

I've only heard a Linn Classik once - nearly 20 years ago when I bought an older Audiolab 8000A amp. The seller let me hear the Classik for a while too, which he'd just bought new as an upgrade to replace the 8000A. Yes it was pretty good and I've been tempted myself a few times. All depends what you're going to use it with I suppose - I'd certainly give it a go.

If you don't like it you can sell it to me for half what you paid for it :xmas-wink:
