well after 19 years i've got another raleigh massif , it was my first mtb............. it's as close to original as you can get and the paints still good too.......

the brakes are quite poor so what should i do ? new pads to keep it original?

or dx ?

or 987's and go with a blue theme ?

Wow, looks almost NOS, love the colour :cool:

Brake-wise I'd go with the DX, I think the 987's will stick out like a sore thumb...
 
yeah , i think i'll go with the dx's.......... i need to twist the bars round a little lol

it wheelies quite well too , mind you this is where it all started for me :LOL:

You know, I build up a bike, and the first thing I do is wheelie it off a curb... Why is that?! lol!
 
pass ? cause if it does'nt fall apart doing it then it'll be safe to ride ? :LOL: :LOL:

i was always wheeling my bmx's everywhere i went so it was 2nd nature when i got my first mtb i guess ?

I had one of those but not BITD, it was a good bike, great geometry.

i changed the rear mech for an exage gs one and put old tioga metal pedals on it , going to keep the brakes standard for now ..
