My problem seems to be a common one as I've found from searching. I have a 1997 Marin b17, the red and white one that had the hi5s
Anyway I was thinking instead of tracking down or getting mounts machined could I not buy a later blue and white frame to use that swingarm as from memory that had Hayes cable discs as standard. And the mounts look right to me
There's one on eBay I could buy now if I knew it would work. Would I be able to fit new shimano xt hydraulic discs to the blue spec swingarm?
It may seem like a lot to do but I want to rebuild this bike as it means a lot to me, my dad bought me it in 1997 so its become my new project to make it my dream bike again.
