Just got this locally it's good but runs on V's and has project 2's and a velocity stem

Get rid of all the silver bits and replace them with black and all black tyres, it'll look great.

Yep, was jealous before and now its been cleaned, am again.

Very nice.

I like the project 2s but the veolicty stem looks a little odd to be honest.

I Agree with that, I'll probably swap the stem out for a 130mm black one

Black would look really smart, and matches the seatpost and bars.

The black deore was limited only to Saracen as an exclusive I think? Same is on my trekker (1989)

Black does look great against that bright pink ... more would look even better as Xerces suggests. Maybe swap the stem... As an aside I've always liked the Velocity in that polished finish - is that a 1"?

Yup 1" & about 80mm with little rise, so a bit short for me really
